Kim Seonghyeon is a videographer with around ten years of experience filming and editing documentaries, exhibitions, performances, and educational content.
He approaches each subject with curiosity and open communication, creating films that bring a sense of warmth to the viewer.
From filming through editing, he works to understand the project’s purpose and communicate with the people in front of the camera.
Experience in the field
- He began as a camera assistant on MBC’s firefly documentary, ‘Jisang-ui Byeol Banditburi’.
- He participated in the BBC nature documentary project ‘South Korea: Earth’s Hidden Wilderness’.
- His work includes filming classical performances at Hansei University. During his time with Content Bricks Cooperative, he interviewed artists for Yesulcheong’s ‘Art Exchange’ project.
- Production lead for Seoul Arts Center’s ‘Seongpa-Seonye’ exhibition films (2024) and Jinwoo Park’s ‘Still Alive’ exhibition video (2024–2025).
- Exhibition film production for Combine Works artists Antonio, Yongchul Kim and Boyoung Jeong (2025–2026).
- Exhibition video production for Seoul Arts Center’s ‘Ewan — I Write’ (2026).
- Cinematographer and AI guide image/video production for the web drama ‘Amu Restaurant’ (2025).
- B-camera filming, drone filming and footage backup for the feature film ‘Jab the Return’ (2024).
Listening to a subject’s story before filming and helping people feel at ease on set are central to his approach.
